Strong Avenue is a cozy hidden gem any time of year, but it’s even better in the summer when the street is transformed into a vibrant pedestrian-only oasis. With outdoor seating under the shade of large umbrellas, surrounded by lush greenery, it feels like you’ve been transported to the oversized patio of a European bistro without ever leaving Northampton.
Each May, a group of businesses on Strong Ave come together and create the Summer on Strong experience that visitors can enjoy through mid-September.
With outdoor dining from cafes and full service restaurants, live music, shopping, and pop-up events throughout the Summer on Strong season, there really is something for everyone. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and evening entertainment - make the most of your day at Summer on Strong!
