Since 2021, members of the Strong Ave business community have come together to host Summer on Strong, with the goal of creating an oasis-like gathering spot for Northampton visitors and locals to enjoy daily throughout the summer.

What began as a collaborative response to pandemic restrictions has proved to be something our community truly values, and it’s grown throughout the years to become a much anticipated event in downtown Northampton.

Summer on Strong brings businesses together with a unified purpose - on the days before Summer on Strong opens, you’ll find business owners and employees all out on the street potting plants and arranging furniture to create the experience we all love. And it of course brings community members together in a beautiful and unique setting - whether you live locally or are making Northampton your destination, a visit to Summer on Strong is sure to lift the spirits and give you a beautiful space to relax.

The start of Summer on Strong has come to mark the unofficial start of the summer season in Northampton, and you can feel the excitement in the air as it approaches. We look forward to welcoming you this season!
